All meals such as breakfast, lunch and dinner are included and with every meal, you can enjoy nice Bedouin tea. Camping equipment and the jeep assistance are also included for the hiking days.

Day 1: Arrival day / Little Petra / Slaysel
Assistance at the airport, meeting with your driver, and transfer to Little Petra. Meet your guide and visit Little Petra, a former caravan station, where traders and travellers stopped before entering the Nabatean capital of Petra. Little Petra is famous for its small "siq" (Siq Al-Barid), its temples, tricliniums and bicliniums carved into the rocks, and a unique painted ceiling showing Nabatean agriculture and traditions. After the visit, hike to Jabal Garon, in Slaysel, with magnificent views over Wadi Araba desert. Dinner and overnight in a Bedouin cave in Slaysel.

​​​Day 2: Slaysel / Wadi Musa canyon in Thaor M'Daai / Wadi Abu R'Sheybeh: black and white deserts

After breakfast, hike down through a dark granite mountain (~1200m altitude) until reaching Wadi Musa river, where you will find fresh water and nice irrigated gardens. This first part of the day let you discover a very dark and mysterious mountain, but after crossing the river, you enter a completely different landscape : a light and bright sandstone desert. Then, you will reach an open and hilly area, at the bottom of Petra mountains. On your way, you may meet nomads shepherding their goats and sheeps, and maybe camels. Dinner and overnight bush camping in Wadi Abu R'Sheybeh.

Day 3: Wadi Abu R'Sheybeh / Jabal Aron and Wadi Sabra in Petra: the yellow and rose-red desert 

After breakfast, hike up from the canyon of Abu R'Sheybeh to the view over a yellow and rose-red mountain desert on one side, and Petra mountains on the other side. Then, continue to the top of Jabal Aron where sits the tomb of Aron, brother of Moses. This spiritual place offers breathtaking panoramas (360°) as it is the highest point in the region (~1450m altitude). On one side, you overlook the remnants of a byzantine church, and on the other side, you discover the mountains nestling the fascinating city of Petra. After a tea break on the top of Jabal Aron, you hike down to Wadi Sabra. Dinner and overnight in a Bedouin cave near the "Snake monument".

Day 4: Petra

After breakfast, you will start your hiking day in Petra, discover the ancient city of stone, its famous monuments. You will follow different trails in Wadi Farasa, Jabal Al-Kubtha, the center and the Treasury. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Petra.

Day 5: Petra "backdoor hike" / departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred by car to the entrance of Petra backdoor. From there, you will enjoy a 1h30 hike to reach the Monastery, with beautiful views over Wadi Araba and the Great Rift Valley. From the Monastery, you will go down to Petra city center. Depending on the season, you can then discover a beautiful canyon, Wadi Al-Mudhlim, with Nabatean votive niches and a large tunnel carved by the Nabateans to channel rain water. At the end of your exploration, transfer to your airport for departure.​
