​Jordan is more than 75% desert, though, there is a surprising variety of terrains and wildlife. 

During your tour, especially if you choose to explore wilderness, you might be lucky enough to see a wolf, lynx, striped hyena, golden jackal, wild cat like caracal, desert fox, and even an oryx or gazelle or Pesian onager.

​Jordan is also famous for birdwatching, since it is on the migration route to and from Europe, Africa and Asia. There are many declared "IBAs" in the country (Important Bird Areas), for instance in Azraq wetlands, Dana wild reserve and Petra.
